47# what happens when you over-mug
ok this is realllyyy random (hahahaha yes yingda i admit being random
) anyway this is wat i did when i was mugging for bio eoys last year
yes thats an ideal model of a pile of sh…i mean excretory product. its just so coincidental tat i was mugging the chapter on assimilation and digestion, two processes which leads to the production of …excretory product…
and yes, i like playing with bluetack, playdough and plasticine
(i dont like the last as much cos it degenerates and stinks and is oily)
ps) that thing on the top is a fly
46# playing with playdough!
there was some playdough being passed around the class today. i koped some and made this little rose:
title: rose
media: playdough!
size: ok hmm, the whole this is smaller than your average eraser
appz date: today! aha joking, 9/9/08
haha seem i got some obsession with rose lols. hm maybe i could have made some pattern on the leaf, but it was just too small =\i was thinking of flattening the ribbon too, then can see the turns more clearly, but again, too small =\ haha experimenting how to make a nice rose was fun. the first few tries look like cabbages lols!
30# another random post XD
fellow sec4s! remember the superball chemistry experiment? well remeber how the the superball keep moulding itself into the shape of the container you keep in and how you had tried to keep the superball in its ball shape? well look at the utterly hilarious creation of my classmate, cos they cant stand having to keep rolling the ball any longer lols!

chinese chess!! hahahaha!!
ok that was really random
26# splatters :D
here are some of the random splatters i did during one of the art lessons. kind of a free for all, let-go-crazy kind of lesson lols!

this one looks like some clouds (the more thunderous ones of course lols). its done with tissue paper and cloth, by dabbing the tissue and cloth into paint and then onto the paper. initially i want to also paste the tissue onto the paper but it was too wet =\. i chose the colour combi red black and white cos its very contrasting and dramatic, and make it stand out.

the making of this particular piece was very interesting. i first chose my colour scheme and prepared the colours. after that i crushed the paper into a small ball and started painting the little ball with the different colours. along the course i stopped to mix more colours. i unwrapped the paper, let it dry for a bit, and then crushed it again to paint the second colour. in this way, only certain area on the paper is painted. the crease lines very nicely “outlined” the painted areas, and also created some shadows. after that i used colour pencil to draw faint purple lines coming down from an angle. i liked this piece because while it looked very random, you could actually see some “organisation” in it due to the crease lines.

this piece is done with acrylic paint and colour pencils. the red marks are suppose to represent petals, spiraling out from a point on the paper. i used the colour pencils to further enhance the spiral effect. though i felt i shouldnt have use the colour orange and blue cos it crashed with the red colour of the petals. also i could have used some dark colours to create some shadows and depths.

this piece was done by soaking woollen strings in paint and then rolling them on the paper. the splatters were doen with a large crush and droppers. at first i only use the colours orange and red, but later i added the complementary colours like blue. it makes the picture look more dramatic, and brought out the orange in the pictures.

this piece was done using watercolour and poster paint. i first painted the background of the sky using light water colour. after the paper dried, i use thick poster paint to paint the butterfly image in the centre. after that i dipped some water and dripped the water from the four different sides of the paper. it ended up looking like some cookie -.- i was hoping to create the effect of the butterfly melting down. perhaps i should have only dripped from one side of the paper =\ but if i do that the other areas may seem empty.

this piece was done by splattering, dipping the whole paper into water, and painting with wire gauze. using wire gauze creates a interesting effect, cos you can see the pattern of the wire gauze on the paper. so it also creates texture on the painting.
